“Happy World Kindness Day! Show animals some kindness. GO VEGAN!”
November 13 is World Kindness Day. It’s a magical feeling to me that across the whole world people are celebrating kindness and, hopefully, being a bit kinder than normal to those around them.
But, are they? I’m not so sure. It’s one thing to throw a banner up on Instagram or share a Facebook post, but it’s another thing entirely to actually act on it. Kindness is almost a cliche these days. Just the word evokes thoughts of helping an elderly person carry their groceries in, or bringing your neighbor dinner during a period of illness. These are great examples of kindness, and we should be doing more of these everyday.
But, what else can we do that’s kind? How about considering the animals? Giving up meat, dairy, eggs, and other animal products is the kindest thing that you can do for the animals. It’s also the kindest thing you can do for the environment and your own health! It’s truly a win-win-win.
Going vegan is the ultimate kindness. If you’re not already vegan, please consider the animals on World Kindness Day…and every day.
